The CARE Shop: our charity shop in Cleethorpes
The CARE Shop was the starting point for the CARE charity, set up by our founder David Robinson thirty years ago to provide essential items for those in need in the local community.
The shop is located at 46-47 Alexandra Road, Cleethorpes, DN35 8LE.
We sell a wide array of donated items including good quality furniture, some of which is donated on to individuals and families in crisis who come to us for support.
Our furniture recycling service collects, restores, and redistributes donated items, meaning people moving into a new home with nothing, or those in urgent need, can be equipped quickly and at no cost.
Your donations of furniture, household items, books, toys, and clothing are welcome to be dropped to our team at: The CARE Shop from Monday-Sunday 10:00-16:00.
Our CARE van can also happily collect from any local address at no cost.
“One of the best charity shops around. CARE are really grateful when you donate things, and they sell things at good prices compared to other charity shops.”
The CARE Shop also offers a stepping stone into volunteering and community life.
Some of the individuals we support begin volunteering here to build confidence, structure, and connection – often after periods of isolation or poor mental health
“A wonderful place to volunteer. All management and volunteers are very friendly and welcoming and make you feel part of the family. I have been volunteering for a few months now and it’s made a massive difference to my mental health for the better. I would encourage anyone to volunteer here, as well as shop here.”
