10. How long we keep your data

We keep information only for as long as necessary.

Typical retention periods include: 

  • Tenancy and housing records – up to 6 years after tenancy ends

  • Financial records – 6 years in line with HMRC requirements

  • Staff records – 6 years after employment ends

  • Volunteer records – 6 years after volunteering ends

  • Safeguarding records – longer where required by risk or statutory guidance

  • Marketing contacts – until you withdraw consent

When data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or destroyed.
