VOLUNTEER
Your volunteering time and skills help us to support individuals and families in crisis.
We welcome volunteering at The CARE Shop in Cleethorpes, and at The CARE Hub in Grimsby.
If you’d like to help, please call or email us, or drop in to the shop or hub.
“Volunteering at the CARE Hub has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve done. I really enjoy being part of a team that’s so passionate about helping others, and every shift feels meaningful. Whether I’m welcoming visitors, making cups of tea, or chatting with people who need support, I feel like I’m making a small difference in someone’s day. It’s also given me a lot personally - I’ve met great people, gained confidence, and learned new skills I never expected to. There’s a real sense of community and kindness at CARE, and that’s what keeps me coming back each week.”
- Maisie, Volunteer at The CARE Hub
VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH
Marilyn started dedicating her spare time to CARE in its infancy - around 30 years ago - whilst still in part time work. She was a supporter for the CARE Rent Scheme, attending to clients’ homes in the evenings as a befriender, before moving on to spend some time on the reception at Hainton Avenue.
Around 25 years ago she chose to move into volunteering at The CARE Shop, where she has been with us on a weekly basis ever since. She started volunteering with our founder David Robinson, and now volunteers with the shop manager Sam.
Thank you, Marilyn - for an incredible 30 years of kindness, care, friendliness and dedication!
