Daily Bread Food Larder help many residents of North East Lincolnshire, who find themselves experiencing poverty, hardship and distress, despite a statutory system that in general supports them.
To help those who experience emergency, temporary financial need Churches Together and Christian Action Resource Enterprise (CARE) are working in partnership to provide short term relief of food poverty in the area.
Local churches have agreed, for one month each, to provide donations into the larder. Currently over 800 local people from over 40 churches donate food in this way ensuring that there is a supply of items, usually tinned and packeted, to give to those in our community who find themselves disadvantaged and in financial distress.
Food is distributed principally by referral of an individual from a variety of local agencies in addition to those already identified through the everyday work of CARE.

CARE Daily Bread Food Larder News
*IMPORTANT NOTICE*
From the week commencing Monday, 1st July 2019, there will be a change to the way that CARE operates its Food Larder provision in Grimsby and Cleethorpes.
We will no longer be able to offer access to the general public for them to be able to receive emergency food parcels from us on a daily basis.
We will continue to collect and deliver any food that is donated to us through the work we do with churches, schools, supermarkets, and individuals as we have done since 2006. We will establish new partnerships with other local food providers, who will receive donated food from us and then carry out the distribution of the food parcels during the week to those needy people that find themselves in urgent emergency need.
Thank you to all those that have so generously donated to the Daily Bread Food Larder and our hope is that you will continue to support us in providing food to those most in need in our local community.
Our Immingham Access Point will continue to operate as normal.
