Crisis Support Worker
Join our dedicated team at CARE as a Crisis Drop-in Support Worker. You will be the first point of contact for people needing immediate help, whether they are facing housing challenges, financial hardship, or emotional distress. By conducting in-depth assessments, directing individuals to resources for food and welfare support, and offering practical guidance, you’ll play a vital role in assisting those in need. If you’re compassionate, solution-focused, and able to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:

Welcome and listen to individuals visiting our drop-in service.

Assess immediate needs and connect people to housing, food, and welfare support.

Guide clients through applications and forms, ensuring they understand and can access the assistance available.

Maintain accurate records of interactions, safeguarding client confidentiality at all times.
Essential Qualities:

Strong communication and active listening skills.

A calm, supportive approach when handling challenging circumstances.

Good organisational skills, with the ability to keep records up to date and accurate.
