You will be the first point of contact for people needing immediate help, whether they are facing housing challenges, financial hardship, or emotional distress. By conducting in-depth assessments, directing individuals to resources for food and welfare support, and offering practical guidance, you’ll play a vital role in assisting those in need. If you’re compassionate, solution-focused, and able to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome and listen to individuals visiting our drop-in service.

• Assess immediate needs and connect people to housing, food, and welfare support.

• Guide clients through applications and forms, ensuring they understand and can access the assistance available.

• Maintain accurate records of interactions, safeguarding client confidentiality at all times.

Essential Qualities:

• Strong communication and active listening skills.

• A calm, supportive approach when handling challenging circumstances.

• Good organisational skills, with the ability to keep records up to date and accurate.

• A commitment to CARE’s mission of easing poverty, homelessness, and hardship.
